Client and Content Manager Kerry Hendel Gives Back to the Community
Kerry Hendel has worn a lot of hats in her day. She’s worked retail, tried her hand in the record industry, taught English for the Lakota school district — and much, much more!
She always gives back to her community, both in volunteering and through her career. Kerry’s spent the last two years pursuing that goal as a freelance marketing consultant, but there was something missing. She wanted to be surrounded by a group of peers and has now found that as the new Client and Content Manager for The Deciding Factor!
Using Her Skills in New Ways
Kerry left teaching a little over a decade ago to pivot to a very different industry — marketing!
“I’ve always loved reading and writing,” she says. “I got an opportunity to use my skills in a new way writing social media posts, onboarding new employees and coordinating company events, tradeshows and conferences for an electrical engineering services firm.”
With experience she gained over eight years, Kerry started working for herself. She took on freelance marketing projects, creating advertising and e-mail campaigns and managing website and social media accounts for clients. Her biggest endeavor was handling brand standards, customer relations, team management and guest relations for 66 Airbnb locations!
Bringing Confidence and Determination to TDF
Kerry has already jumped into her content-creating role at TDF. She’s been exploring our variety of clients and learning the platforms we use to deliver the best digital marketing materials and services.

Passionate About Volunteering
Kerry doesn’t stop after she leaves TDF for the day. She loves going to concerts with her boyfriend, playing tennis and golf, and traveling all over the country.
But her greatest passion is volunteering. She puts together golf auction packages for the West Chester Liberty Rotary Club, helps organize the Union Centre Food Truck Rally, and has even served on the Starshine Hospice Board for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
“Volunteering is really in my blood,” Kerry says. “My parents and my grandparents were always working to make their community a better place. I keep trying to do the same thing!”
Kerry has even been recognized on several occasions for her service. Some of her honors include winning the Women of Excellence award for enhancing business, education, culture, philanthropy and providing outstanding service to the region of West Chester and Liberty, and the Benny Award for providing service to Ball State University in 2016.
