TDF Welcomes Rachel Rothstein as a Summer Content Development Intern

At The Deciding Factor, we believe internships are the perfect way for students to test the waters, gain needed experience, and make meaningful connections. This summer, we are excited to bring on Rachel Rothstein as one of our content development interns.

Rachel is a rising senior at The Ohio State University, studying Strategic Communication. As one of our content interns this summer, her role includes writing blogs and social media posts, helping with Google Analytics, and improving client website Search Engine Optimization.

About Rachel

She has experience in both communication and marketing. Last summer, Rachel interned at The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, helping with fundraising, development, and event planning. Currently, she serves as an Account Executive for the student-run PR firm at Ohio State, The Practice, as well as being an active member of Ohio State’s PRSSA chapter.

Rachel also loves to write. She writes for Her Campus, an online magazine targeted at the female college student demographic, written entirely by the nation’s top college journalists from 380+ campus chapters.

In her free-time, Rachel enjoys traveling. Last semester, she participated in Semester at Sea, a study abroad program on a cruise ship in which she visited 14 countries and numerous cities. While traveling, she kept a blog which you can find here. Her dream job is to become a travel blogger.

Gaining Confidence through Real-World Experience

“I am excited to gain real-world experience and learn from the amazing professionals at The Deciding Factor. This internship provides a lot of hands-on experience and is helping me gain confidence in my content development and writing skills,” says Rachel.

Rachel’s Future Plans

For her last year at Ohio State, she is picking up a professional writing minor. She looks forward to delving deeper into writing and improving her skills.

She is uncertain as to where the future will take her after graduation but is excited to find out.  She hopes to move to Chicago and continue working in the PR industry.

“We are excited to welcome Rachel into the TDF family this summer. She is a great addition to our team, and we are looking forward to teaching her as much as we can through this internship,” says Karen Meyers Holzer, President of The Deciding Factor.
