Understanding the Project

Vendormint provides human-led, tech-enabled retail deduction recovery and compliance support for suppliers. Their subject matter can be complex, so they approached The Deciding Factor (TDF) in 2026 with a goal of building awareness online and their reputation to support growth.

Business Goals

The company needed a social presence that communicated expertise into useful, accessible content for retailers and retail suppliers across the supply chain. Their business goals included:

  • Establishing a consistent, recognizable LinkedIn presence.
  • Building awareness of the operational and financial impact of retail deductions.
  • Positioning Vendormint as a knowledgeable, practical partner for retail suppliers.
  • Driving more relevant social traffic to Vendormint’s website and resources.
  • Balancing educational thought leadership with company culture and human connection.

Challenges

The company wanted to clearly define its solutions and differentiate from competitors but faced several challenges, including:

  • Explaining specialized deduction recovery concepts without oversimplifying them.
  • Creating frequent but not repetitive content that retained their message and visual identity.
  • Reaching multiple stakeholders with priorities ranging from cash recovery and margin protection to documentation and compliance.
  • Turning social visibility into meaningful website engagement.

Social Media Solution

TDF developed an always-on organic LinkedIn strategy that gave Vendormint a consistent publishing rhythm with enough variety to educate and engage. This approach combined:

  • Editorial planning
  • Concise copy
  • Branded creative
  • Company storytelling
  • Performance analysis

Complex Topics Made Clear

TDF translated technical subject matter into brief, business-focused insights. Strong hooks reframed familiar challenges and short paragraphs and bullet points increased readability.

A Cohesive Visual System

Branded graphics used Vendormint’s green, charcoal and white palette, consistent logo placement, bold typography and data-inspired patterns. The reusable design system created a throughline with posts while enabling educational statements and employee spotlights and holiday content to stand apart.

Thought Leadership with a Human Side

Educational posts built authority while executive videos and roundtable content brought leadership perspectives forward. Employee birthdays, work anniversaries and community-oriented posts showed the people behind the expertise and reinforced Vendormint’s human-first approach.

From Awareness to Action

TDF extended the value of newsletters, webinars, articles, FAQs, press coverage and website tools with social media showcases. Calls to action ranged from low-friction questions and polls to higher-intent visits to service pages, the Revenue Recovery Calculator and Vendormint’s free audit offer.

A Structured Editorial Calendar

TDF organized content around a deliberate progression:

  • Help the audience recognize a problem
  • Demonstrate how greater visibility and control protect margins
  • Elevate the conversation to operational leadership and executive confidence

A consistent weekday cadence kept Vendormint visible while videos, educational posts, insights on industry trends and team milestones created variety.

Campaign Results

TDF compared two equal 81-day periods:

  • February 23-May 14, 2026, before implementation of new plan
  • May 15-August 3, 2026, after implementation

The clearest improvement appeared in the quality and depth of website traffic arriving from social channels.

More Valuable Social Traffic

  • New users from social increased 20%, from 50 to 60.
  • Website engagement rate increased from 37.93% to 54.7%, a gain of 16.8 percentage points.
  • Bounce rate decreased from 62.1% to 45.3%, a 16.8-point improvement.
  • Views per session increased 67%, from 1.2 to 2.0.

Together, these results indicate that TDF’s updated content strategy did more than generate visits. It attracted users who stayed longer, viewed more content and engaged more deeply with Vendormint’s website.

Stronger Post-Level Performance

  • Vendormint published 63 organic LinkedIn posts and reached 716 total followers during the post-implementation period.
  • Overall engagement rate increased from 12.7% to 13.3%.
  • The leading post achieved a 59.2% engagement rate, generating 556 engagements from 939 impressions.
  • Problem-solving posts and company-culture content emerged as the strongest themes.

Measurement note: LinkedIn’s pre-plan engagement and click totals were elevated by document carousel navigation, which the platform counts as clicks. For that reason, website behavior and engagement rate provide the clearest comparison of post-plan audience quality.

The Bottom Line

Vendormint’s partnership with The Deciding Factor demonstrates how a focused social strategy can make complex expertise more approachable and more valuable. The result of these campaigns is a scalable social media program that educates retail suppliers, strengthens credibility and turns attention into meaningful engagement.
