Maddie Kapfhammer Joins TDF’s Growing Graphic Design Team!
The Deciding Factor keeps on growing to deliver powerful marketing results. As graphic designer Nyla Sauter moves more into website design, we recently added another graphic designer to continue to best serve our clients. Enter Maddie Kapfhammer!
We’re excited to welcome the recent University of Louisville graduate to the TDF team. She brings a fresh perspective to designing and delivering a wide range of print and motion graphic solutions to our clients.
Design Runs in the Family
Maddie approaches each project with a worldly perspective. Although she was born in Maryland, her dad was in the Air Force and that meant living all over the world — including Germany and Australia — before arriving in Beavercreek, OH.
She knew she was interested in design from a young age — and you might even say it’s in her blood.
“I have a grandfather who was a tradesman and loved many different forms of art,” Maddie says. “He worked with wood and paper and even painted the ceiling of a church once.”
Her passion for creative things found a focus when she discovered desktop publishing in middle school. Maddie knew that her grandfather’s trade would work a little differently in the computer age. That’s how she found herself at UofL earning a BFA in Graphic Design.
While in school, she interned at Norton Healthcare and Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). Both positions provided her experience in marketing and communications, progress and ideation, newsletters and advertisements, video shoots, and working with print and mail materials — all valuable knowledge she now applies at The Deciding Factor.
Our Design Team: A Critical Component in Effective Marketing
As part of our growing design team, Maddie helps develop print materials and motion graphics for various marketing projects across a wide range of media, including flyers, brochures, white papers, social media, email campaigns and corporate branding.
“We’re excited to have Maddie join our agency,” says Karen Meyers Holzer, President of The Deciding Factor. “Maddie is a critical component of our powerful design capabilities as we continue to scale up our resources.”
When not immersed in problem-solving and content creation, Maddie is likely reading or checking out the latest Marvel movie or The Great British Bake Off. She loves cooking and recently tried her hand at making homemade pasta.
“I just really love creating and finding the details in everything,” she says.
